Parking in Rasnov is relatively easy. The central parking lot of Strada Cetatii is the main lot used for visitors to Rasnov Fortress. It’s a paid public lot and fills up quickly during peak hours. You may also find some street parking or small lots around the main street, Strada Republicii, but be aware of signage and time limits. Many hotels offer free parking for guests. If you’re staying overnight, check with the hotel.

By Train: From Bucharest North Station, take a train to Brasov (approximately 2.5 to 3 hours). From Brasov to Rasnov, take a local train to Rasnov, which takes bout 30 minutes.
By Bus: From Bucharest, take a bus to Brasov, about 3.5 hours. From Brasov to Rasnov, local buses run frequently between Brasov and Rasnov, taking about 20 minutes.
By Car: From Bucharest, take the national road DN1 towards Predeal. From here, follow the signs towards Rasnov. The distance from Bucharest is about 111 miles. From Brasove, you’ll only drive 9 miles. Exit Brasov to the south towards Pitesti. Pass Cristian then follow the signs to Rasnov.
Another option is to take it easy and book a tour from Brasov to see the Rasnov fortress.
