Buses are readily available in Diani Beach, they are the cheapest option to get around. However, there may be a number of different buses you need to take to reach your destination. There are shuttle bus services that cater mostly to tourists and run on set departure times between Diani Beach, Nyali, Kilifi, and Watamu. The service operates daily and there is no need to change buses. Matatus (minibusses) travel around town from early morning (6 am) to late at night, they offer a fast and reliable ride for short distances. They stop almost anywhere, as well as designated stops, and can be flagged down off the street. There are also motorcycle taxis and Bajaj scooters available, as well as TukTuks, which can accommodate around 3 passengers for short to medium distances.
