Tambor Town & Beach

The town itself is a simple strip with a few local restaurants (sodas), small grocery stores, and tour operators. The soul of the town is Playa Tambor, a long, volcanic dark-sand beach lining the calm Bahía Ballena (Whale Bay). Its gentle, sheltered waves are perfect for swimming, kayaking, and stand-up paddleboarding, making it an ideal destination for families and those seeking pure relaxation.

The Hills of Tambor 

For those looking for a more private and nature-immersed escape, the lush hills rising behind Tambor offer a spectacular experience. This area is characterized by dense tropical forest, incredible panoramic views of the bay, and a profoundly peaceful atmosphere. Here you will find boutique eco-lodges and private vacation homes, often featuring infinity pools and large terraces. Staying in the hills offers unparalleled wildlife viewing opportunities, but it is not walkable and requires a 4×4 vehicle to access the properties and the town below.

Los Delfines Golf & Country Club
